college park killing. >> two university of maryland students gunned down. >> who police say pulled the trigger. >> >> hello, again, lear's what people are talking about today. a shocking attack near the university of maryland college park police say two students are dead in an apparent murder/suicide. another remains hospitalized. develop tor mike it there with the latest details >> good afternoon. we are on 36th avenue. the campus is a is short walk over that way. the house is here behind me. at this point, police have not said anything about a motive. they are working to identify the victims and working to notify their families. they have recovered the weapon. this is a picture from inside of the home steps. where police say they set a

fire. >> he shot them both and shot and killed himself. >> the preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect that lived in the home set a fire in the base machine. two of his roommates went downstairs to see what was happening. all three of them left the home and went to the front of the house. that's when the suspects started to shoot. >> one of the victims was shot tie trying to run away. more remnants of a fire outside and remnants of an s.u.v. out front. >> i heard the gunfire shots. six to sovereign shots you got the impression immediately it was not fireworks. >> it was definitely a shock. definitely unsettling to be that close to home. >> university police are

we are learning more about a braze brazen courthouse shooting. police say the gunman did know one of the victims, ron has more. >> >> good afternoon, police say the gunman was the exfather-in- law of one of the two women killed in the shooting. police say the 68-year-old man walked into the courthouse in wilmington and opened fire. his former daughter-in-law and another woman were killed. the women were at the courthouse for a child support hearing regarding the shooter's son. jessica, back to you. >> >> investigators say the two families have been in a bitter child custody dispute for years. police say 35-year-old amanda miller was a teacher and had sex with a 15-year-old

police make arrests in the murder case of a 15-year-old chicago girl who was shot days after performing at the president's inauguration. police say two gang members are charged in the death of pendleton. last month the men allegedly opened fire on a group of students sitting in the park. police think they mistook one of the students as a member of a rival gang. . the cruise ship is being towed to mobile, alabama and is expected to arrive there thursday. >> >> hundreds of thousands will be letting the good times roll for fat tuesday in new orleans. today, mardi gras celebrations kicked off a couple of weeks ago and will end at mitt night

welcome back everybody, beautiful sunshine out there, today, get out and enjoy. it's sunny, temperatures are very comfortable. 50 degrees in baltimore. a lot of 50s to our south and out to the west, we are in the 40s. not quite as warm as yesterday in some cases with the wind out of the northwest, but still way above average. average is 44 degrees. winds will be gusting at times this afternoon. temperatures dropping to the 30s overnight. we get up close to 40 degrees. at the same time, we'lling directing our attention to the southwest where a new system is coming our way. a lot of moisture, the front has moved through, sort of stalled out. regaining strength and that will move to the north in our

direction. the way it works out for us. during the day, a rain storm -- tomorrow night, when the center passes by, colder air and it's going to be -- real good supply of cold air. in addition to that with the sun setting, a chance for accumulation tomorrow night into the early morning hours of thursday before the storm system gets out of here we low freezing. a wet snow that we'll be dealing with. here's a storm coming up from the south, wednesday through early thursday morning. it gets out of here and we will gentlemen some colder air coming our way with the system here and it may bring a rain/snow mix as we head through the weekend the forecast looks like this.
